Hadn’t even considered that. I have to unlock my devices to authorize a payment. How does that work with an implant?

3·5 days agoI work from home and control my own thermostat so I’m good thanks. Are you really into suits or something? I don’t really know anyone who would be upset about relaxing the dress code for comfort. In fact I don’t know a single man who likes to wear suits, they’re usually envious of the fact that women have more latitude in professional dress options.

3·5 days agoIt makes no sense to push for either half of workers to be uncomfortable. I’m more in favor of meeting the thermostat in the middle and relax clothing requirements so everyone can find the right compromise. It’s about workers vs. billionaires and the right to work in decent conditions.

164·6 days agoIn the US a lot of offices set the thermostat for men to be comfortable in suits and women typically run colder and wear clothes that are less warm because they’re considered more professional for some reason. I had to use a heater and blanket every day when I used to go in to the office. My hands were always cold and going to meetings was miserable. It’s not fun to always be cold. Why can’t people who are too warm take their jacket off or wear shorts?

It got me too. I don’t know how to react other than to laugh because it’s just that far out there.

lol. I would hate having to wear a glove all the time.
Edit: So I spent a little time trying to read about it online and pretty much their claim is that it only works if you get your hand close enough to the terminal. So basically the only thing keeping your payment information safe is distance. That would make me very uncomfortable. Wait until bad actors start embedding readers in places you touch naturally without thinking about it like at the gas station pump etc…
