Attempting to discredit trusted orgs like NPR is a long beloved conservative tactic

I’m not Admiral Patrick of the former dubvee.org I just play along to waste the time of those who believe they are successfully harassing him.

You’re falsely linking two different things, Freakonomics never connected the superpredator myth to abortion, just crime.
It’s also disingenuous to imply that Stephen Dubner (a libertarian) could speak for the views of every single NPR affiliate. It doesn’t work that way.

2·2 days agoI’m a crypto-Trekkie; if you walked into my home and really looked closely you’d only see multiple starship models, action figures shirts, lego sets and a handful of props. Not a single ceramic stoneware baking dish (unless we’re counting mugs and decorative plates in which case there are dozens).

52·7 days ago“Astroturfed” implies an appearance of a grassroots campaign, here the dev has connections to wealthy people who give him money, that’s really all there is to it.

3·7 days agoYeah but even then, it’s an extremely niche distro and 99.9% of Linux users using a password manager service are using bitwarden/vaultwarden. It just doesn’t make sense.

10·7 days agoThat stood out to me too. It comes preinstalled with Omarchy so thats something but also Omarchy has like, a thousand daily active users so even that doesn’t sit right.

1·9 days agoI haven’t tested it but Plasma Bigscreen has apparently made a lot of progress, too.

Oh yeah, to be clear I don’t think Freakonomics is worth listening to, but trying to draw a link between the views of a single host and community funded media at large is not honest.
