I vote for keeping satirical posts in this community, please. It takes a certain level of “lunacy” even to come up something so hilarious and demented.

201·5 days agoAnubis + BadBotBlocker + fail2ban was sufficient to stop almost ALL scraping and stupid bots. I added some rate limits as well that stopped some of the more niche bots.
Of course, I’d be surprised if notabug didn’t implement all this. I’m sure they’re far more savvy than noobs like to to protect their site.
I’m just afraid that they might be pushed into using Cloudflare or other such centralised services.

I doubt you’d find big companies doing this. On the other hand, a lot of smaller / medium size companies focusing on specific skills and services are surprisingly anti AI. I came across this site (typescholar.com) last month, where they straight-up declare they won’t use AI.
