I’m well aware that others have different perspectives and values than me, and I have changed a lot over the years due to the feedback of others who know more than me (I used to be a liberal, and said a lot of stupid and anti-leftist shit without understanding how wrong it was). Thanks for proving to me you know so little about me as a person.

I maintain that OP’s behavior was not acceptable in public spaces, and more importantly isn’t going to change hearts and minds of anyone. I don’t blame mods for banning people like that because they act like disruptive and hostile trolls. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got instance banned should they continue to behave in this manner.

See, it’s interesting that people in the Vegan community feel that any criticism of their atrocious behavior, means the people criticizing them must be their opposition, a very common false dillema which people in the community use to shield themselves from criticism of their behavior. I’m assuming that’s what you’re trying to do here.

It’s not even a widespread societal expectation. It’s something this sexist troll pulled out of his ass because he was mad someone suggested doing yoga as exercise at home. Which he thinks is “women’s privilege” whatever the fuck that means.

I prefer to just go for hikes outside. You get good exercise and fresh air. I do have an elliptical at home though which I use when the weather isn’t good enough to go hiking.

YDI, rules like that exist for a reason. People in charge of communities don’t want hostile people attacking others or starting fights with people.

Rimu is, and I assume a lot of other people on piefed who agree with him are as well. It’s the only way anyone could be okay with what he’s doing or think he’s at all the good guy in this situation.

They’re upset that people are mad at Rimu for being a grade A asshole. The thing is people are angry at Rimu for a reason. He’s been a piece of shit for days now. It would be more weird if people weren’t mad at him for all that’s happened.

If Rimu was banning people over personally targeting him that would be a valid concern. He isn’t. Making new accounts to spread counter-programming to his userbase is not harassing him. It’s only harassment if one makes accounts specifically to contact him.

Lemmy.world and also lemmy.ca might be on his side unfortunately (their administration). They seemed to be on the same page when it came to the last drama involving Lemmy.world threating to defederate from FAF (dbzer0, Anarchist.nexus, and Quokk.au).

Honestly kind of think null should be permabanned. Nothing they’ve ever contributed has been in good faith and I have a feeling they will continue to troll in the future as the rest of this unfolds. Just my opinion.

null is a troll, they’ve been engaging in bad faith to create more discord ever since the drama around @[email protected] started. Their replies in the thread about a mod on [email protected] locking comment chains to stop discussion are all petty trolling attempts.
