In my experiences as a German visiting France a few times they are more pretentious about speaking french.
I feel like in other countries people care less about me not speaking their native language, most often we both just speak english and everything is fine.
And even if neither of us speaks any language of the other I feel people are more willing to communicate with hands and feet. In France they just look at you annoyed and hope you go away.
Was mich bisschen nervt, ist dass die Klimademos hier meistens gegen 12 Uhr am Freitag zu sein scheinen. Dafür dann immer einen Urlaubstag zu nehmen ist es mir nicht wert.
What I have heard about this is that it may have something to do with it being harder for men to find a new wife than it is for women to find a new husband.
A divorce is also worse for the man if he was the one making more money/having more assets because he now has to give some of them to the ex.
And most men are conditioned by society to only really show feelings to their partner and no one else, whereas woman can show feelings to their friends and family or random people too. So a man would lose his only person to share feelings with, while a woman doesn’t.
So for the average man it is probably simply less advantageous to break up than it is for the average woman, so they rather stay in the relationship.
That and the only time that something remotely interesting happens is at the start or end of an episode.
It’s so that you start watching the episode and then at the end want to watch the next one and it disgusts me because it feels so manipulative.
This is not a soap opera, it’s supposed to be star trek.
