I wish I were someone who could derive enjoyment from meaningless things, but am not wired that way. Sounds like it’d be a blast.

Yep, this is why it’s possible to “reason” ourselves into any position over time, we just have to feel a certain way for long enough for rational justifications to seem plausible.

This has the same ring as “don’t talk about drugs or sex, and especially don’t educate kids about them, it’ll give people ideas”. No, people will get ideas regardless. What this firm did is try to educate people about a problem.

It does help to see people aware of the issues, even if they don’t know how to personally solve the problems caused by massive, global, centuries-old patterns we’re in the middle of. I don’t know about you but I’d go nuts if I thought I was alone over here.
