This is not a positive thing whatsoever. It’s just another “lefty” vibes policy that only serves capitalist interests. Kids should be raised by their parents not by salaried strangers that don’t really give a fuck about them other than to earn their paycheck.

I fundamentally disagree. Look at what they are doing now framing Israel criticism as “hate speech”. Either all speech is free speech or none is, because “hate” can be defined as anything. You could easily frame all sorts of speech as “hate” speech against some group.

Now we can have a conversation about the merits of free speech, which is an entirely different beast. But if you are comfortable with limiting speech, you need to necessarily be comfortable with the fact that the same mechanism can and will be used to limit your speech.

A tiger has every right to kill an antelope as a human has to kill a cow. The real ethical problem for me lies not in the killing of animals, but rather the conditions they live in prior to execution, and the method of execution. There is a way to ethically consume meat, and it is non industrial and requires each person to do the kill so as to not be alienated from the significance of killing an animal to feed oneself.
