I’ve never used an esim, and dread the possibility. I greatly appreciate the simplicity of being able to swap the hardware without involving a third party. Are they even possible to set up without a second working phone?

I just like the bisexual flag colors better.
Also on Graphene. I’m unemployed and dealing with a semi recent health diagnosis, so I definitely get calls from numbers that I haven’t saved. I just let them go to voicemail, and if they’re not spam, I save the number and call them back.

IDK if you’re in the US, but anywhere I’ve lived in the US, induction is expensive and only offered in “premium” homes. Instead we either get crappy electric coils or gas. I’d love to have induction, but am stuck with coils. From a recent comment of mine:
I think cost is probably the main factor. It looks like prices on induction ranges are coming down, but still priced as premium/luxury compared to the electric coils. I looked up the cheapest of both at the local big box home improvement store, and the cheapest option overall is $509 and available for pickup today. The cheapest induction range is $899 and is showing a 7 day lead time.
A lot of people in the US are also really attached to gas, and would choose gas over induction anyway. The cheapest gas ranges are just a little more expensive ($549) than the electric coils.

How are we quantifying “most turds”? Would a single bowel movement count as multiple turds if they came out as separate pieces? Is there a minimum mass or volume to count as a single turd? What about bowel movements that are not solid?
I’ve seen this every day since it was posted and it’s definitely not true. Everything is worse and worse.

Does installing Linux on an old Windows laptop count as upgrading? My current Jellyfin hardware is from 2013ish, and my “everything else” device is an old surplus ThinkPad that I acquired from my previous job a few years ago, both now running Mint.
Omg, 19g would be insane for any kitten! They’re usually somewhere near 100g at birth, although the smallest I’ve personally seen was 53g.
Lol. It’s a “g” for grams.
Nope, only true in extreme cases. I was curious about that years ago, and while it might make you need to urinate more frequently, it doesn’t actually make you urinate more volume unless you consume way more caffeine than your body is used to. Now, alcohol on the other hand, anything over like 3-5% ABV does have a net dehydrating effect.
I don’t work in a shelter, but I do a lot of volunteering with a foster-based rescue & TNR organization. Do I get a pass?

I’ve turned off the AI summaries, but occasionally ask one of DDG’s AIs a question, and it almost always has blatant errors in the responses. Yesterday, I did a manual search first, then asked 2 of the AI models if Arm & Hammer currently sells any non-clumping clay litters. It gave me a couple products that it claimed were non-clumping, but when I pulled up product listings to buy them, they were all very clearly labeled as clumping.
Makes it really hard to trust AI for things I don’t know when they’re so often so obviously wrong about things I do know and can easily verify.
To anyone born too early to get the vaccine in the past, talk to your doctor! I was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year, and my doctor says the cutoffs have changed, so even with my diagnosis, it’s still worth getting.
