Not at all ahead of her time. Ignorance has been the bane of human existence for ever more. Of course it depends on who you ask. For many the ignorance of the masses is a feature, not a bug.

My point is this, look at the way they talk about liberals. When we liberals(?) hear them we think, “What a bunch of idiots, look how wrong they are about our stances on issues”. I consider the way they look at us as being that same contempt. Just a thought.

I don’t say they’re blameless, only that when attacking a specific issue it’s not helpful to take such a broad swipe. You have to remember we’re dealing with humans here, a very difficult “they” to lay down.

Not arguing with the take but I wonder if we need more detail instead of blaming “conservatives”. Maybe we could start saying “Some conservatives” more. If we keep exaggerating the divide there is only one place it will lead.

To stray from the comments so far may I say that I object to one more project being handed to Quebec while they continue to talk separation. For the last few decades they’ve been getting all kinds of perks to help convince them to stay. That has to come to an abrupt end.
