As a parent, we will do anything to entertain our children that requires near zero effort. I could walk around the house with my kid hanging off my back (me holding his feet) and say “Where’s <kidname>??!??!” And ask everyone who i’d see in the house if they’d seen him. 5min of being goofy==lifetime kid memories for them. I live in spain now, metric took about a week to figure out. Cooking was a switch since it was in grams, not cups or ounces. Oh and weight, the Doctor bust up laughing when I told him my weight before I left the states (198) and we had to remember the math to get 90kg (I’m now 75kg). But I assure you that I need to use Freedom units when talking to friends. Telling them it was 20 today irritates them to levels unknown because I’m forcing math.
