Absolutely, city planning plays a massive role in this. As well as perceived attractiveness of the city (are people migrating to or away from the place). My view is pretty skewed because I’ve lived mostly in high quality of life areas, so I can’t speak for small-town depopulation and decay.

I’m not sure I agree on the last part of your last sentence, is that a fact? It feels like there’s plenty of opportunity for social encounters in (larger) town centres, thanks to the much larger number of cafés, restaurants and such compared to my childhood/youth (at least in the parts of Denmark and France that I know). And also an understanding that cities need free spaces (parks and similar).
For physical goods shopping I have no comment, I believe that part.
Complains about texture. Goes on to say peanut butter is great.
?!?!?!?!

… Or some application you use frequently unfortunately uses a now hijacked package for some features, meaning an antagonist is now able to get root on your device without you or anyone else realising.
Yes, that is the point I was making…
I hate IPAs, but there are some absolutely amazing amber craft beers out there. I’ll take that over a pilsner any day
The Danish counterpart, Hus Forbi

Yes, but who’s pushing for this control? I agree that both are terrible. I’d love to see all upper levels of politics become limited terms, without the option to just jump from one to the other. Once you’ve spent some time, 2 terms maybe, in a position of high political influence (national level, local councils are a different beast), you’re out of national politics entirely. Get rid of the career politician, and hunt down the ones that take “gifts” from corporate interests ruthlessly.

As opposed to Palantir control?

Given your name, I’ll assume you’re Danish too. It’s not exactly news that we’ve always treated Greenland and its people poorly. As far as timing goes, the court decision was made Friday, but it is curious that so many international outlets decided to bring this story…

So, uh, like the US right now? Trump, Kegsbreath, Vance and so on

There are absolutely some very clear bad guys in this world, and our history. Most people don’t fall in that category, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

That wasn’t my comment, I was just pointing out that reducing the argument against Israel to “one company is bad” is severely downplaying the situation.

Hardly because of a company. You’d have to be living completely off the grid to be unaware of the atrocities being perpetrated against their neighbours

I have no idea why your graph looks so different from mine. I don’t even have the option to get the same timespan, last 24h or last 7 days is the most granular I can get. On the 7d view, the two little blips don’t exist or are so small as to be invisible.

So the WHCD started at 7 PM Eastern Time. Searches for Cole Allen started around 7:15 Eastern Time in Israel according to Google Trends. I’m going to assume that’s when it was public information, but I don’t have a good way to verify that his name was available by then 🤷♂️ Edit: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now+1-d&geo=IL&q=cole+Allen&hl=en-US
My car is worth a fair bit more than 10k, and just the idea of buying it with physical cash makes me nervous. I’ll take a traceable transaction for this that doesn’t make me a target for mugging in the meantime, thank you very much.
