I came here to say this. It’s creepy that their first thought was this, but also, the obsession with a new game usually lasts for like 2-3 weeks, and then people are normal about it once more. Is it really going to affect them so much that Dave is slightly less efficient for less than a month? Oh, the horrors.

It sounds like that one Asterix movie where they had to do the twelve tasks.
In one task Obelix went into an all-you-can-eat restaurant and had to eat everything he was given. He did. Then the cook ran out crying that he has nothing else to serve and he is now ruined.
Obelix went out like, “Such a weird cook; he gave me appetizers and left!”
