That’s only if parents object after recording starts.
If they object early enough, then the entire classroom isn’t recorded.
Or at least that’s the claim.
And the backlash got the entire program shut down (for now).

China isn’t going to doublecross Russia until they’re good and ready. They’re currently buying Russian crude oil and selling it back as refined fuel, at a massive markup.
China wants Easter Russia, and its plentiful natural resources, but they’re playing the slow game. They’re building up Russian debt, and will likely strike after Russia finally admits defeat in Ukraine. (and the only way Russia will admit defeat is when they are completely broke)

Oil, but likely not the right type for the available refineries.

I don’t think it mattered what the rural socialists wanted.
Lenin was not involved in the February Revolution because he was in exile. He returned to Russia sometime in the spring of 1917 to immediately start rabble rousing.
He launched a coup against the interim government to seize control.
Now, the interim government had promised elections to write a new constitution.
Lenin allowed these elections to proceed, but he and his Bolsheviks lost. He then started screaming about how it wasn’t fair that he didn’t win, and demanded that the winners bow to his demands.
They refused, and Lenin had the constitutional assembly shut down after their first day, and then arrested the members.
This kicked off the Russian civil war, and was the impetus for Lenin to ban other political parties.

Lenin didn’t like how the November 1917 election went, and had the winners arrested when they refused to disband and grant Lenin full constitutional authority.
The winners of that election represented the rural socialists.

You do know that it’s possible to set up tight group policy control on Linux right?
Every major distro has some sort of user control built in, and Enterprise distros like Red Hat and SUSE are actually better than Windows.

There’s also the fact that the people who actually match the general genetic profile of the ancient inhabitants of the area are the Palestinians, not the Israeli colonizers.

Family level closeness… Like you find on a cruise ship…

You left.out the fact that the main Mexican law they disagreed with was the one banning slavery.
Jim Bowie, who died shitting himself in bed, was a straight up slave trader.

We do talk about it like that.
It’s not just in the Caribbean, but maybe you haven’t been paying attention to the right news feeds.

Paul Atreides is a classic Tragic Hero.
He has the full arc, including the fall caused by his own hubris.
That’s what most people miss, because they only read the first book, or watch the movies.
Frank Herbert seems to have drawn inspiration from Greek Tragedy and the life of Lawrence of Arabia.
T.E. Lawrence sort of created the mess that is the Modern Middle East. Sure the Ottoman Empire was oppressive, but the chaos Lawrence created allowed the region to be carved up and divided by the French and British. Who instantly betrayed Lawrence’s allies in that fight.
The ending was pretty dark, and came a bit before the widespread acceptance of the Chicxulub impact.
Or they carved the pyramids from the top down after overbuilding a sacrificial structure, That makes it much easier to maintain those sharp lines and accurate angles.

Which is a technique even wilier than previously mentioned.

Fun fact, freshly cut grass is great to smell when standing on your lawn.
In an industrial or battlefield setting, it’s a death sentence. Phosgene is listed as a Schedule 3 substance under the Chemical Weapons Convention.
It can also be produced if you weld something that you’ve cleaned with break cleaner. And is a painful way to die.

Which is great if you live anywhere near a Costco.
Sadly my closest Costco is a two hour drive away. And that’s not actually counting any city driving that I’d need to do.

Smaug might have some wealth, but Scrooge McDuck cheats.
The comics have a panel where he talks about being able to spend $1billion a minute for 600 years.
Gomez Addams also ranks up there. He keeps lucking into wealth. He’s the worst investor ever, and yet it keeps paying off for him. But I can’t remember what his official net worth is.
Guillotine blades get dull. And they’re kind of heavy.
So to keep things moving I motion that we set up half a dozen of them. Each one would handle 100 people, which would still absolutely wreck the blade. But that’s a price I’m willing to pay.
They actually got something in return, so the deal was better than 90% of the bloated bloviator’s
