I remember Foley saying there was some kind of rights issue that kept the movie out of print for a while. I think maybe it didn’t get a DVD release for a while and was stuck languishing on VHS, but I might be misremembering.

Did you know some asshole wrote a book about that movie?
(It’s me, I’m the asshole)

Josie and the Pussycats

Perfect header image for the story. No notes.

This feels like an attack on me personally.

It’s a charity project that was originally meant to be a one-off thing but so many people were curious about it that’s it’s getting bigger release.

The third one did not have nearly the buzz the first two did, and didn’t really introduce anything that stuck in the collective imagination. Not as quotable or surprising as the first two. You could have SEEN it and still forgotten about it, tbh.

Wow, is this the one they made back when Better Call Saul was still on TV?

Is it seriously still two weeks? I had assumed it was like the BFDI events where the episode would drop right after the theatrical window closed

That will be interesting as the family supposedly wanted the allegations kept completely away from this film. I’m guessing the only way to make it a key plot point is to go into full reputation laundering mode and run the risk of getting sued by accusers.

It’s a very well-made and emotional film, but I do think you can watch the trailer and accurately gauge your likely tolerance level for it.
The Odd Couple II was not only decades late as an Odd Couple sequel but also about three years too late to capitalize on the success of “Grumoy Old Men.”
