I think Enterprise immediately being like “TIME TRAVEL COLD WAR” was one of the biggest narrative problems with Enterprise. It didn’t let Enterprise stand on it’s own, but was constantly shadowed by future events. IMO they should have spent more time writing ahead of the show to figure out what the overarching storylines should be rather than just figuring it out as they went.
