Working on curing childhood cancer is emotional because it’s something that we as a society value collectively but clearly aren’t compensating the work enough. Why should we pay a pittance to people who have 5+ years of training under their belt? Is it simply because they’ll make more in the future? That sounds like a pretty exploitative system to me.
The fact that you call kilometers “klicks” does my head in since the rest of the English speaking world shortens it to “kays”


I had to go in-person to a branch with ID, but once I was there it was pretty quick.
Public transport is one of the only ways teenagers (among many other vulnerable groups) can get some independence in a very car-centric society. You’d be fighting an uphill battle trying convince people to exclude kids from the public transport system.
