I don’t use tiktok for reasons that would be preaching to the choir here, but pardon me for asking… Isn’t everything on TikTok an ad? Like they’re either telling people to buy a book, put sugary syrup in water, buy organising plastic containers, selling slime, selling ice cube trays that ironically make them no longer cubes, selling makeup, clothing hauls, generating affiliate revenue, asking people to enlist… I could go on. It’s just ads all the way down? What would someone see if they removed all the #ad posts?

Solar is cheaper, requires a sponge and detergent for maintenance, and has an approximately zero percent chance of blowing everything around it into a radioactive hell. You build it and it sits in a field. Far less susceptible to incompetence or systemic failure.

It also takes like a decade to build a nuclear plant. Over a decade you could produce shit loads of energy off solar. Wind too if you want to go crazy but y’all would see one ai gen video of a bald eagle getting killed by a turbine and call them communist or something.

Never attribute to malice what incompetence can explain, or however that goes. Except for YellowKey. That was obviously a backdoor to get into bitlocker encrypted drives for either higher-upper law enforcement or their intelligence agencies. No one has presented another explanation that makes sense.

It’s more that it adds to the statement that Microsoft are a marketing company that happens to market software. They’re more focused on profit and they benefit from there being less zero days in the media, so they do everything they can to not have cves flying around while also doing the least amount of work possible.

Whatever is dropped in July is going to be interesting though, it’s been very hyped up.

What makes me laugh is that we could still invest that into mining, get the resources to make solar panels and batteries, then stop because battery recycling is a thing. They can still get rich off it. They just have a set period the mining is necessary while we get the amount required. But by then they could buy the solar farms and generate infinite income from the power generation… Are they all just bad at capitalism or something?
