Mine is sitting in a nearby delivery depot since Saturday 1am. And GLS doesn’t deliver on Saturdays. :(

Years ago I’ve seen a documentary about a semi-famous barbershop/beard grooming salon where they’ve asked the barber the same question. And the guy basically said: As hair grows in every direction, you - of course - have to shave in every direction as well to get a clean shave. And he emphasised that there’s nothing to all those stories of never going against the grain.

41·18 days agoI’ve given up Android some years ago. Had a brief time with a BlackBerry and am now enjoying the comforts of the Apple ecosystem. But I’m contemplating going the dumb phone + Palm Pilot (or Psion) route. That being said, that FLX1s seems very interesting…

81·18 days agoYou do realise that GrapheneOS is based on AOSP which is still mostly under control of Google?
one of the biggest problems is the gatekeeping role that Google plays with AOSP. No patches that the company dislikes get into AOSP, regardless of what a wider community might think of them.

United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Voice notes are massive in some countries but not the UK - here's whyEnglish

Yeah, I don’t get why these 10-minute-monologue people can’t just use the dictation feature instead of recording a voice message. Text I can parse and find the important bits very quickly, a voice note I have to listen to carefully and sometimes even take notes. I hate them.
Meshtastic is good for local mesh nets with a limited number of participants. If you rather want to connect to larger meshes, Meshcore is the better choice as it’s far more reliable in larger nets.

Finished Fallout 4 earlier this week (after my Steam Controller arrived, hehe) and started Halo: MCC now. This will keep me occupied for a while.
