I think my twelve year old self had no idea that I could transition. I did not have any trans role models. I saw lesbian representation in media and it felt like a goal that I was ‘not allowed’ to achieve. I wanted to love women the way that women love women.

I think that my twelve year old self would have been really impressed to see that I am loved. <3

• Taking a walk around the block helps me when I’m drowning. If it’s not enough, I will call someone while I am halfway through the walk. This helps me to return with a different perspective.

• I keep a notebook to scribe my unresolved fears and feelings into. It took me a year in therapy to feel safe enough to write down how I feel. I had been too scared that my mother would find the book and haunt me with everything in it.

• I write down my goals onto loose college-ruled three hole punch paper.

I timestamp all of my written work (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM) because it feels loving and helpful to the future version of myself.

Ever since my first wife taught me how to cook, I have been able to make myself meals that are better than most of the takeout around here. Her meals are still better, but I don’t feel so useless in the kitchen anymore. 💕

I prefer cooking at home, especially when she’s around. I haven’t been able to beat the quality of her favorite Korean restaurant. :)

I find that KDE’s default keybinds make sense to me:

• meta + PageUp = maximize
• meta + Arrow Key = the active window tiles around the screen. (when done with multiple windows, they can be resized with each other!)

I have not tried used a tiling window manager. KDE fucks :)

This week, I ran ‘man mount’ while learning about bind mounts.
