I used to love the gay parties at a night club in my city. I’m a guy and I would be approached very aggressively by women there. I was never approached by a guy. Life’s misteries…

I feel like an idiot because I never looked at it that way. Even though I mention in conversations that I would never feel safe being openly gay in a conservative town like mine.

I came after the API fiasco. At first I was going to delete my account but I only deleted my comments and now I only go there to my country’s sub. It was hard to stay away since Lemmy was still barebones. I’d go through all my homepage in a few minutes. Nowadays there’s so much content I barely go on reddit.

Some people use the argument that nuclear power is OK because Chernobyl only happened because of incompetence. That’s the whole point! In my view, that is an argument AGAINST nuclear power.

Incompetence and human error will always happen. It will happen again, eventually. That’s why we can’t have a power source, with the potential to leave a continent poisoned for thousands of years, relying on the competence or lack of sabotage of human beings.
