When used correctly drones do what paratrooper used to do, create pressure and chaos a distance away from the main fight in areas that are supposed to be safe. This prevents the enemy from concentrating on you even if the drones by themselves won’t win the thing, kind of like throwing a beehive at someone you’re in a fight with and now he has to worry about you as a primary threat but can’t ignore the bees or they become a cumulative exhausting threat.
Don’t worry, our leadership has fired anyone capable of understanding how to use our weapons the way they’re supposed to be used so now we’re going to follow the Russian route of ‘just throw it all at the enemy to make room for more stuff to throw at the enemy’ because the point is not to win but to grift the military budget.
I need to put this on a fridge magnet
