  • Picking Weaselly is somehow picking the one front bench candidate who is more right wing and more unpopular with the left of the party than Starmer currently is. I also think hes even less charismatic than Starmer as hes even more of a prepared PR statement, as his actual ideas and words would turn off even the Labour right.

I cannot think of a single policy change that he will willingly make that will bring onboard the left, or that the right can just promise to out deliver as they don’t actually have to deliver them.

If anything he will just speed up privatizing the NHS by stealth.

  • While I think the latest weight loss jabs have been rushed to market and should have been tested for far longer before widespread release I have come around to them offering a useful tool to combat obesity.

I think anybody suggesting you should just eat less or just eat salad really doesn’t understand why people are fat in the first place, and they certainty do not understand insulin response to highly processed, high percentage of sugar containing foods for a start. “You are fat because you eat too much” is such a trite and unhelpful statement, why has that person eaten too much?

An insane percentage of people rebound from large weight loss, jab or no jab, we still do not have a proper way to address that. Until we target why people are able to lose large amounts of weight and not keep it off then we are not going to fix the issue long term.

  • It’s a fundamental issue understanding what art is for sure. People who could really draw well could already copy his style perfectly, but just because you can perfectly copy it doesn’t make it original, and thus have the same value. It’s not that it has no value, just considerably less value than his films.

It’s that total lack of originality with AI slavishly copying a style like this that shows its lack of creative value. It’s like pressing play on a keyboard programmed with 20 top tunes of the 80s and randomly pressing the high hat key.

Sure, it enables someone who can’t play the piano to “play” a song, but not really. It’s the same getting AI to copy by rote someone else’s style they developed, it requires no effort or application of originality.
