Prisoners is one of my favorite movies of any genre.

Valid point about the score - most of his movies have music playing constantly - but I’ve watched all his movies and the writing is always pretty bad.

Personally I thought Obsession was just as generic as any of the other 10 horror movies that come out every year. I saw it because of the hype, and I still don’t understand the hype. The only explanation that makes sense is they ran a successful social media campaign and everyone loves to jump on the hype train.

I don’t say this as a badge of honor, but I walked out of Obsession after an hour. I haven’t done that in 15 years. It was so painfully slow and poorly directed, I feel like I’m being gaslighted by all the hype.
