I mean in STS2, you can just get fucked from the seed. It’s a roguelite though, not a roguelike. I get the whole, “unlock the full game” thing, but it doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a subsection of it and would like an option to play that. Some things you unlock are just worse or so extremely niche that you’d never really use them anyway, they are just there to stop you getting the stronger stuff more often.

Sometimes you want a specific build as you are learning, but now you unlock some new thing that has no synergy with anything else or has some niche use and it’s diluted the pool making it harder to build what you wanted.
I’d prefer games like this have toggles or some other mechanic that can allow upgrades without making the game harder. Slay The Spire is a good example, I love the game, but I’d rather not unlock some stuff. Or Gunfire Reborn, you have to roll stats on weapons, but then you unlock more weapons, so now you have a harder time finding the gun you want, let alone one with good stats on. Bad design imho.

Roguelites dont even make sense, I “progress” but now I have diluted my item/card/gun/whatever pool?? Upgrades should be upgrades, not new things imo.

AI reliance makes worse programmers. AI makes people dumber and less skilled. While it might not matter for someone like yourself, it matters to the future.

Yea, I see why they have done it, its a good move! But I still want an insane high end headset :D

I thought that is what it was going to be, both tracking options in a next-level headset!

Yea, its a good alternative, albeit more expensive, to Meta’s Quest devices. I’ll pick one up, but I do want to see Valve target the high-end again and push the VR space like they did with the Index.

Yeah, dont get me wrong, its nice to see another device in the inside-out space (to avoid fucking Meta), but I think its going to be too expensive to compete with Meta on the main stage.
But I would also have liked to see a takeover of the high end again, to see Valve push the limits.

This basically top of the line VR now: https://store.bigscreenvr.com/products/bigscreen-beyond-2
The Index has fallen behind a lot and a new model would have been amazing.

This is more of a side-grade. I was hoping for an actual Index 2.

It’s the same for all western countries too, well, most countries in the world. And guess what old people are voting for at the polls? It isn’t sacrificing anything of their own for a brighter future for the youth, that’s for sure.

The classic EU, two steps forward one big step backwards, approach to policies.

It’s bullshit. Children cannot buy an internet connection in the first place. Dont let the state lie to you about age-verification, it’s identity verification, they want to know who is doing what, age has nothing to do with it.

I honestly think it should be mandatory. With online shopping these days, a customer should be able to see the exact dimensions of a product before they purchase it.

Valve dont need to be on X lol, anything they post in an official manner on any site, will be immediately shared by news outlets anyway.
Same goes for any large company.

Please Valve, get the fuck off X.

Maybe to the dismay of people in this thread, I went with Proton. It just feels more robust than Tuta and I liked the inclusion of Simple Login for throwaway email addresses.
I only use their email, calendar and VPN services, so I cant comment on the rest, but I’m happy with my subscription.
This only happened because of a charging smartwatch. You can’t short it with just any metal contacting them. The watch burnt out the puck.
It is entirely avoidable from a design perspective, but it’s not just like any metal will do anything.
