I just took smoke breaks and didn’t smoke. Only ever got called out for it once and that guy was a major asshole anyway.

If you’re at a party or social gathering where smokers have been relegated to a specific area outside, it becomes very easy to meet people if you smoke.
It’s like a cheat code for social anxiety and people who have trouble initiating conversation with people they don’t know.
Yeah, you can still go out there if you don’t smoke though. I’ve never had smokers tell me to fuck off when I didn’t smoke. Usually if anything someone would offer me one, I’d say no thank you, and we’d move on to talking about whatever. I did carry a lighter with me so I could at least offer them that though.
