Any chance to cut labor, and “we were unable to verify you, please call our horrific phone tree and wait on hold to hear we’re “experiencing higher than normal wait times” for the 94th month in a row”, it will be used to force people by pain to submit their PII just to pay their gas bill.
Silver lining: this would mean an end to customer service chatbots in most industries.
You can’t hand your customer service off to some chatbot if it requires age verification just to chat with it.
