In my current work, now I fully crystallised what wage theft truly means. In theory we have flexible hours. If I work extra one hour in any given day, I could theoretically go home one hour early. But in reality we are working extra hours unpaid. I work in healthcare sector and it’s understandable that delays could mean the patient will be jeopardised. But the management fuck ups mean we pick up the slack but then bear the ire of poor management decisions.
