The show that aired the first interracial kiss on television is woke now. Got it
The kiss is often mentioned but simply having a woman, a black one at that gasp, as an officer on the bridge of the flagship was a big damn deal. The navy in that era usually relegated black folk to the galley or cleaning duty.
And an officer who was extremely competent and would talk back to her commander when necessary. A scene like this must have been huge when it came out.
You can tell the people who never understood Trek when they think the modern stuff is Woke
