Am I missing something? Jake says Trump wanted Massie to lose, and the context says Trump endorsed Massie’s opponent. Is that not the same thing?
I think they’re pointing out the “most expensive primary ever” part, so what actually happened here is they (including a foreign government) spent a huge amount of money to make this happen, rather than being because of trump’s popularity
He’s leaving out the $15 million AIPAC spent on defeating him, the most expensive house of representatitve primary ever.
