Another week in the bank! Today’s game is would you ever. Person A poses a “would you ever question” eg “would you ever get a tattoo” Person B answers it and poses their own question. Have fun!

That’s what my life feels like at the moment, I’ve been working on the other side of the world from my home.

The culture shock was massive, but there’s so few white people here I sometimes get treated like a celebrity.

If you squint real hard it’s kinda the same thing … and it’s been great to try on a different life. By the time I return I’ll have been away for 6 months.

you dont get to know anything in advance. youre not the mc but you might get some natural advantages via luck, like being born somewhere nice or having talent for something. you get to go to a new world and your main advantage is knowledge of your previous life.

This is a very big “it depends” … Total Recall Mars after the atmosphere’s been sorted? Yeah sure.

Elon Musk’s vision for an Arian base where he controls everything? Notsomuch.

Nope. Had that sort of opportunity in the past, the alternative track led me to where I am now, doing far more interesting things :-)

Over 90’?! That’s crazy, the sort of height were not hitting the water just right could do all kinds of horrible things … about 15’ would be my limit, lol

I’m Enby, and used to live as a woman … yeah I’d try being a man for a week. I’d do stuff like going to a gay bar and see how different it feels socially. Would be interesting to find out what having a dick feels like, pee standing up, etc.

Would you ever be an undercover agent, but for real?

Heh. You mean, my 2025? 😅🫢

Not again anytime soon, though. The last few months of it were truly harrowing.

Also, worth noting that I has no idea the cliff was that high, and trusted (stupidly) the flatmates who’d grown up nearby and swore they’d be doing it for yeeeears. Of course, that doesn’t charge the fact that so many people die each year in that area from exactly that activity that the nearest town is super pissed at footing the ambulance/heli-evac bills for many of them… 😬

                  I lived, though. 🫡

                  Nope.

I know a couple of people who have done very long distance trips. While it sounds like an amaznng adventure, the limited budget meant they had to keep moving in order to see as much as possible before the time ran out.

However I do live vicariously by watching the YouTube channel Itchyboots ;-)

Would you ever knowingly go to a nightclub that had sex and recreational drugs available on the (unwritten) menu?

Not in my lifetime. I imagine the first few colonies will be for corporate mining projects or something with less than ideal living situations. I’d probably just be programming some kind of mining robot rather than any kind of hard labor, but I imagine the novelty of traveling to a new world would wear off quickly after a few weeks of eating gruel and not seeing real grass.

No. I have a fear of falling and going into space is perpetually falling. Unless I was put into stasis, I don’t know if I could even make the trip without too much anxiety.

If you could grow any one plant without any effort, what would it be?

        Weed.

I mean, hell, it’s called that for a reason. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh, and: would you ever temporarily trade your ability to speak any human language for all animal (non-human) language, instead?

Probably not, even though I can access his phone very easily

He’s the sort of person who tells me what he’s thinking and feeling anyway, so if he had any issues he would just tell me

I hope that as I’ve matured (physically, mentally and emotionally) that I’d be beyond all that sneaky stuff

        Why was once enough?

I did indoor skydiving once, it was okay but I imagined having real ground coming up on you would make it more fun

It was quite scary and I don’t like heights

I screamed when we fell out the plane, but the view was quite something. I’ve crossed it off my bucket list 👍
