I’ve never had an ED either but comments about my food outside of “that looks good” annoy me too. That’s all anyone should comment in my opinion. I like food so I’m going to eat whatever I want and folks can stfu.
“Books were only one type of receptacle where we stored a lot of things we were afraid we might forget. There is nothing magical in them, at all. The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.” Professor Faber

Captain Pike is a close second in my book. I adore his hair and he’s super fucking handsome!

I didn’t, but I’m also a short haired woman who sometimes behaves the way she does and isn’t super girly.
I just thought she was the hottest person on the bridge of that starship, regardless of gender.

Yeah, it’s the spider one. I fucking love spiders so much :)

I have only been outside of the US twice, but I’ve traveled to all 4 corners of the continental US as well as Alaska and Hawaii
I have an extreme fear of spiders due to walking through a web of baby spiders when I was a child
I moved across the US to live with an online friend who I only met once before moving

Periods can vary in frequency, time, amount of flow, etc. Tracking when it starts and stops, PMS symptoms, and other data points can help to understand if/when something is wrong and give a better upstanding of our cycles. It also helps as we get older and move into the perimenopause and menopause parts of life.
I’ve been tracking my period in a paper planner for a few years now. This tracking helped me link my migraines to the birth control I was on. It has also helped me recognize PMS symptoms to the point where I usually know within a few hours of when my flow will start.
Not everyone gets a period on a consistent basis either. My cycle used to vary drastically from 2-3 times per year to multiple weeks of flow. Menstrual cycles are weird and can be confusing, tracking takes away some of that mystery.

This!
I moved to a paper planner for tracking my period and I’ve never had to worry about anyone stealing my data. Bullet journals or graph paper are far superior to any app.
I had to pull something similar for an out of town friend. I was at a bar with a group who were visiting and staying at my place. One of my girl friends came over and put her arm around me, all I heard was “this is my girlfriend” so I turned to give her a kiss on the cheek and put my arm around her.
Some dude had been hitting on her and not getting the point that she wasn’t interested. Me being a taller lady, stared the guy down until he left her alone. It was an otherwise good time at the bar.

No. I have a fear of falling and going into space is perpetually falling. Unless I was put into stasis, I don’t know if I could even make the trip without too much anxiety.
If you could grow any one plant without any effort, what would it be?

Same. I legitimately forgot about emule until now.

They were doing paddle shifters in the Ioniq. Toyota was working on a car with a six speed shifter and a clutch. I don’t even care if it’s simulated shifting, I’d still get one.
This article is from 2023, but it has more info on it. The manual transmission from Toyota is expected to go to production this year I think.

I’d honestly love this. I don’t even care if the stick doesn’t actually switch gears and it can just give me fake engine rev sounds. I just miss driving manual and paddle shifters just aren’t the same.

Getting the guest room and house cleaned up this week. We have guests coming in from out of town on Friday and I want to be ready.
Today I decided that I’m going to put a bunch of stickers I’ve been collecting over the years on my bicycle. They have been sitting in a bag because I didn’t know where to stick them, so I may as well sticker up my bike. I have a bunch of bookish stickers too, which make me super happy!

Gardening: I get up before the sun rises and start gardening around 8-9am on the weekends. If I’m not careful, I can be out there all day constantly fiddling with my plants.
Gaming: More specifically, World of Warcraft. It’s the only game other than Halo I play consistently. I logged on yesterday around 2pm, then suddenly it was 7pm lol
Reading: I don’t typically sit for a long time to read, I usually do a chapter, then get up for a task, then another chapter, and repeat. But if the book is really good, I’ll sit for hours. The last time that happened was when I was reading The Expanse novels, I am getting that a bit from The Protectorate trilogy that I’m currently reading.
Smoking a joint and cleaning: One of my favorite weekend morning tasks. I get stoned then go around the house cleaning, laundry, and picking up whatever else needs to be done.
I remember that one, it was the first time I heard of this scenario. It really sucks for folks involved, but it is kind of interesting too.

The Roma tomato plants in my garden are growing like crazy. 2 of 3 are big and bushy, the third is smaller but it’s still producing tomatoes. I also transplanted 5 soybean plants, hoping at least 2-3 survive. My hot pepper plants still look super sad, but they have flower buds, so we’ll see.
I lost track of my cute bark lynx spider friend, I think she moved into the bushes because I haven’t seen her in over a week. However, my praying mantis friend is still living happily on the mini orange tree and it’s getting bigger!
I’ve been able to take a lot of great pictures with the macro lens attachment for my phone. I add them to iNaturalist for identification, hopefully some researcher can use my nerdy joy and love of insects and arachnids for some good scientific research :)

Sigh. Even after all the shitty things my mom has said over the years, I still love her and I miss her. I wish I could talk to her. I saw her last year for the first time in about 10 years, she’s starting to look like a little old lady. She’s getting smaller and more frail, her voice is even getting small. I miss her.
I wish I could heal what’s broken between us and I wish my mom could be in my life, but it must start with an apology from her.

I hate it. Gossip did so much damage to my life when I was a kid, I refuse to participate.

Sweet! Thanks, I’m going to look into it.
I’m in my early 40s and I could have written your entire comment right down to the reasoning for hesitating to comment. I’ve written and deleted and rewritten and reworded this comment a few times.
Also, to me, this is funny because I sometimes go by the name Audacity :)
