    Pff I WISH it destroyed the institution of marriage. It’ll take decades before people realise that they don’t have to marry

      You might be interested in East Germany, iirc it abolished the traditional marriage, viewing it as too patriarchal and fostering class inequality.

      The Na people in Yunnan, in China, did away with marriage entirely, instead employing matrilineal and matrilocal practices.
