Hi everyone. I was wondering if i am the only person who has this: I get kind of annoyed when people comment on what i eat or how much i eat. Regardless if it is consodered healthy or not healthy, much or litte food. I espeacially don’t like being asked things like “why do you eat this?” or comments like “this is bad for x/y”, " you shoud eat more a/b because x/y"

I mean i’m pretty sure that it stems from the ED i used to have about 10 years ago. But i was wondering:

  • Are there people without any sings of ED or former ED that still don’t like when people comment on that?
  • Why do some people feel entitled to comment or question what others eat in the first place?

Im very interested in options from others. Have a nice weekend anyways :)

I hate this. I train a lot and a few years ago was microwaving pasta at work and the woman in the kitchen who I HAD NEVER MET BEFORE said in horror “you’re not going to ear all that??” I wasn’t overweight, it was just shitty. I said i trained for a few hours that day and she didn’t even downplay the comment by saying I looked good or anything. And yes years later I’m still pissed.

Women have a horrible time with their weight. We’re too fat or too thin, and it’s ingrained into us that we need to be a certain weight. I had an anorexic friend and whenever we went anywhere with food total strangers would come over and ask if she’d eaten. As if more food pressure was helpful and she was going to say “omg you’re right! My ED is cured thank you!!!”

It’s just so fucking unhelpful and unpleasant
