You’re not wrong, other than hair plugs any existing treatment for androgenic hair loss will only remain effective while you’re taking it consistently. Fortunately anything that suppresses testosterone necessarily reduces androgenic balding effects, so the HRT we’re gonna be taking anyway already does at least part of the job.

this is incorrect. androgenic hair loss is permanently restorable if you remove the androgens. that snippet about it only staying as long as you continue treatment only applies to cis men, you know people with a bunch of androgens. once you remove them and the process stops, the hair wont automatically come back, but estrogen and minoxidil will make your hair come back, and after a year or two you can stop minoxidil and the results should stay, provided you keep suppressing testosterone by taking estrogen, which you’re probably going to do anyway.

Everyone naturally produces testosterone, cis women can and do experience androgenic alopecia, the only way to guarantee a zero testosterone level for anyone without consistent medication would be removal of the hormone producing organs surgically, which nobody anywhere recommends as a treatment for hair loss, and which would also still require either HRT or some other medication to compensate for bone density loss, so one way or the other you’re gonna be maintaining treatment to keep your hair.
