Until 10 years later when the nazis have taken over, and send homosexuals to death/labor camps. I remember when I was a kid reading about this stuff, and being terrified of the concept. If it had been fiction, I wouldn’t have been so scared of that idea. It was the fact that I was reading a history book that made this terrifying. I remember being 10, and thinking “Well, I’m glad that’s over, and I never had to live through a government that kidnaps people off the street for being an out group, just to send them to a camp. At least that’s all behind us!”

Welp. It’s 2026. Sorry Papa. You fought in WWII to fight German nazis, and won. Unfortunately the united states today has said “Hey, what if WE did that???”

So now, even though we were on the right side of history when it counted, we’ve now decided to voluntarily BE the wrong side of history. If my grandfather were still alive, I’m sure he’d question why he stormed a beach with water so filled with blood it turned the ocean red. Just to have it turn out this way.

I’m sure Marlene Dietrich would just say “Some things never change”.

WW2 was never about fighting the bad guys. directly afterwards, russia occupied half of eastern europe and the US pardoned japanese scientists who cut people open while still alive (link) in exchange for the research data. and also NASA was founded by famous nazi germany rocket scientist Wernher von Braun.

Don’t worry, the US is not alone

Israel, of all possible countries in the world, decided that the Nazis were right, just that the targets were wrong.

This is what happens when we let narcissistic psychopaths be out leaders. Whenever a politician stands up and promises you revolutionary new ways of doing things, he will become a fascist if you let him. If a politician stands up and doesn’t have solutions, only points out problems, same deal. If a politician likes to blame groups for certain problems, same deal.
