Happy pride month!
Not sure whether this counts, and I didn’t watch it a lot, but as a trans kid in denial I was weirdly fascinated by Ranma 1/2. In hindsight it’s obviously not surprising at all, seems to be a fairly common experience. I was so confused why Ranma kept trying to get rid of the “curse”. What do you mean you don’t want to be a woman?
My partner and I recently watched Ranma 1/2 and it is such a delight! That’s awesome you found some solidarity there
A gay male couple on Eastenders back in the 90s. It was HUGE at the time and was the first mainstream representation i ever saw
Louis Couperus.
In On the Steel Breeze by Alistair Reynolds is a character named Travertine who uses ze pronouns. Just a fantastic character regardless, and how I learned about neopronouns.
Billie Joe Armstrong
When I first heard Coming Clean and the interview where he said he is bi, I was maybe 13-14 years old. It helped me realize that I was attracted to both girls and boys. Then all the pictures of him making out with guys on stage made me realize that it’s ok.
