I’ve often said that if the military’s sole purpose was to produce useful technical clothing and camping gear, I might be ok with their existence.

I mean it’s all fine and good to have no military until someone decides your house is actually their house.

Interesting rationale, used to spend billions on destruction. I remain unconvinced. If we work together, I think we can find a better solution to the ‘guns and butter’ charade.

Edit: Above when I say “the military” I mean ALL of the military industrial complex.

We are kinda jumping to conclusions now aren’t we? Most nations man and arm a military without those behaviors. Although there are a few aggressing right now, that mainly being the US, Israel, Russia, and Rwanda. Of course there are those they are attacking who withy a military of their own would be having a very bad time. Imagine if Iran, or Ukrain had no military to defend themselves with, then they would be in a very difficult situation like congo and Palestine.

Wow, dude just walking around with a 45 in his belt, no holster.

Is that some kind of radio hanging under his arm?

It’s got that cord lashed to it. Yeah, looks like a radio, and his other arm appears to be resting on a machine gun slung over his shoulder and mostly concealed behind his back.

Good eye - I didn’t notice his right hand resting on a magazine.

Wooden stock and doesn’t seem to show above his should, wonder of it’s an M1 carbine
