What are the arrows pointing to?

They point what one type of nation gives the other, listing their characteristics.

      Why are they so thick?

      Idk to be honest.

What is the CA in the middle, calcium?

I think it stands for “Comparative Advantage”, what is defined in the black box to the right>>

Dependency theory has significantly fallen out of favor since the long 60s as a result of the neoliberal “reforms” of that era. This is not to say it is a worthless theory, it just didn’t directly explain the transfer of the means of production to the periphery. In recent years though, it has begun to see a resurgence with some adjustments. If you want a more up to date dependency theory I recommend Unequal Exchange by Torkil Lauesen. I have some minor disagreements with certain points in his work but most of it is very good.

The graph info is understandable… the way it’s organized is kinda bad.

Not throwing shade to you, OP, I just feel like there could be a better way to make it.

For example, the definition of Comparative advantage on top, black text with white background and showing it’s abreviated to CA, instead of that square at one side (dark blue with black background is awful, either way). Idk.
