It really does get better. I promise you that it does get better. Sometimes it has to get darker before it gets lighter, but the sun always rises. You matter and you deserve love.
Even though I knew deep down I had to leave my ex-husband, it felt very surreal and difficult to stay on that path until I was finally out for good. But holy shit life felt so much easier when I did. I was super poor, a single mom, and living out of my friend’s spare bedroom. It was still so much better.
I did 11 in an abusive marriage. It really does get so much better. 🫂
There’s a lot of work to do with unpacking and healing, and the path will have rough spots, but give yourself space and grace and have patience with yourself.
Fortunately I was only in my bad relationship for four years, but now that i’ve been out of it for a couple years I can confidently say that it does get better ❤️
Gosh, it’s so difficult sometimes, isn’t it?
I was stuck in a relationship for 15 years. 15!! The amount of cope and sunk cost fallacy I engaged with is astonishing looking back at it.
Once I could finally break free, it was hard to believe how GOOD life was!
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is right now.
Fifteen for me, too. I really need to know that life will be good because right now it’s bad and i don’t want to keep going
