She Plays to Win Lionesses A Team have fallen foul of a rule designed to boost female participation in the sport.

The Four Nations Chess League (4NCL) requires all of its first division teams to have at least one player of each gender on its roster.

That’s more sympathetic than I was expecting. I wonder if they’re even allowed to set an “at least one woman” rule without running afoul of UK law.

Jesus how many players have to be on the team?

There’s more than two genders, are all the teams without a nonbinary person DQ’d? Don’t see many pansexuals on the rosters

I’m pansexual but that has nothing to do with my gender. You might mean pangender or omnigender, which are often associated underneath a wider non-binary or genderfluid umbrella.

Damnit, you’re right. I was typing quickly and I confused the terms! Sorry.
