      I’ve had personal experience of Jane Hume’s anti-science opposition.

      During the Covid-19 lockdowns, she posted some incorrect statistics about cases in Victoria on Twitter (back then it was called Twitter). I replied with the correct stats and a link to the VicHealth page where they could be found. She immediately blocked me.

      I think it amazing that Donald the Demented is in fact a closet climate warrior. He has done more to shift the world towards renewables and electrification of everything than anyone would have thought.

    Well I’m just about to add to the numbers, should have a Surron Ultra Bee turning up next week (hopefully). I’d been thinking about these for a couple of years now and intend to use it mainly for the use case I wanted it for - single track - but I’ll admit that the ability to use it to do the work commute or small runs around town if the fuel supply situation really goes tits up was a factor in me finally making the decision to get one.

        Because it’s a dirt bike and that’s the sort of thing it’s built for, also the range is limited and I already have better suited motorbikes for general road use. My current dirt bike is getting on a bit and I think the electric bikes have good potential for tight technical stuff where you’re normally in first or second and on the clutch a lot anyway.

        I did mean single track not double track, as in literally a single track through the bush (or pines as more likely for me). I do however also like dirt tracks which have been abandoned for long enough to overgrow which is probably more like what you’re thinking re. double track. This pic is the sort of thing I’m thinking of, except usually with steeper bits and a few rocks thrown in:

            Instead of blaming people for not getting your joke, just take responsibility and accept the downvotes if people don’t get it if you are not going to use /s, you caring about it enough to type this is a self-own. If you need to clarify this way afterwards just get over it and put the /s in the first place.

              No, I agree with them. Putting /s after every sarcastic comment negates any of the humour, it’s like explaining the joke immediately after telling it. The internet was funnier before people started doing this regularly to avoid social media pile ons.

      Australians aren’t stupid. If EVs and hybrids have reached a price/performance/practicality point where it makes sense to jump to them, then they will.

      They don’t give a crap about people who carry on about woke leftist conspiracy agendas or whatever, especially when the bulk of those people come from the country that thought that crippling oil production in the Middle East was a good idea.
