I strongly disagree she and I have exchanged comments and I definitely didn’t get “young boy” out of it, but even if I were to play devils advocate and have that thought experiment, what would it matter? People are reacting to a female perspective, they are reacting to the concept of female sexuality and agency, what people are responding to is an explicitly female persona, and the results are the same. Who Violet is isn’t actually that relevant it’s how her persona is treated and reacted to that is telling, yourself included.

I didn’t realize I’d wandered into the angry lioness’ den. My bad. I’ve used Lemmy via Voyager since its inception and there’s really no obvious clue what community you’re in unless you really look for it. The vitriol towards all men is a strong clue though, going forward. Community blocked. Sorry, ladies. And “violet” 🙄
The voyager app lets the user customize a lot, including viewing the community name above or below the post. And you will see the community name again inside the post lol
EDIT: I’ve dropped my insult. This man handled this very poorly originally and failed to not only respect the rules of the community but went out of his way to disregard them and also insult women in the process!

That’s some bullshit. I use Voyager and it’s clear which community a post belongs.
It should be above it. The post comes first, elicits desire to comment, and community name can be missed entirely.
Just because YOU can’t move your eyeballs down to the community before commenting your opinion doesn’t mean it’s a poor app design.

Women are horny as well. I wasn’t so sure on violet initially, but I’m actually quite positive they’re a woman at this point.
