I forgot the jelly/lotion part. Great for not staining your skin. Good tip.
I use a wig cap which is essentially just a nylon hat and stuff all my hair underneath. I keep my hair short-ish so it’s easier. I pin that and the wig down with regular bobby pins. If it’s a lace front, meant to look like a natural hairline, I use wig glue and foundation to hide the lace. A good wig is one that fits nicely already and all the extra steps just help keep it down.
Sometimes I just toss a wig on under a winter hat without all that if I feel like having long, outrageous pink hair on a cold day.
I’m late back to the party but, thank you!! That actually helps a lot!
I keep my hair very, very short, its super fine and flat so short gives it a little more body. … and sometimes I do want to “do my hair nice” but don’t want to deal with all that hair daily, for random one-offs, lol.
First/last time I looked into wigs, I was totally overwhelmed, with all the associated products and no guides on any of the seller’s sites, on what to do with them all, or which may be needed. …which is probably a little funny coming from someone who is totally at ease with mixing various hazardous chemicals to bleach and or color my own hair 😅
