I can’t legally keep my own chickens where I live, otherwise I would.

I had to put down my rabbit, I had to crush my pet spider under my heel. I sure as hell can take out a chicken that I’ve raised explicitly to be food, and if I can’t… Well, my wife grew up on a micro farm, where they raised their own cows and chickens, she definitely can slaughter an animal and butcher a carcass.

I said most because I know there are still many out there like yourself; seems like you’d one of the exceptions to the rule. Even then, I’d think the amount of meat you consume would be cut down by a noticable degree.

Probably not a whole lot TBH, but types of meat would definitely change. Pork and Beef would basically be gone, and I think I would be a lot less selective about which cuts of chicken I would eat. I’d imagine I’d be more concerned with wasting meat too. Normally if a chicken breast or two gets tossed, it’s not the end of the world, but if I had to raise my own chickens, I’d probably be a lot more concerned about where every part got used.
