    I put so much effort into trying to politely explain why this situation arose while making it clear that I’m cool with LGBT people, and I still get this demonization for not mindlessly siding with one side

    It’s because you thoughtfully sided with transphobia. And to make matters worse you are so out of touch that you think you are being polite when you are actually coming off like a condescending bigot.

    And no one reading what you wrote is going to think you are wise. That’s why they are not going to listen to you
