Visually? Manhattan. But as a type 1 diabetic I prefer round knobs. Do you know how many tubes I’ve ripped out from getting caught on this style of knob? And don’t get me started on cabinet handles…
Yeah, I broke my hand and was unable to grip stuff, you start noticing real the difference real fast. Also why 90% of the videos of cats opening doors are doors with lever style handles.
They all look like I’d get my pants pocket caught in them (I’m blessed with a special combination of hips and height. My taller boyfriend doesn’t have this problem.)
My preferred door handles are the upsy/downsy ones. You can still open them with a flexible leg, but they don’t grasp for my pockets.

Levers are generally installed over knobs as they are more accessible for people with impediments that lack grip strength.
