i kinda feel this. of course, there are levels of granularity to terminology that will unfortunately result in people using the same words to refer to different things. but whatever terms there are, i use linux mint and whatever kernel/os/shell/ui/etc that implies is fine by me.

actually it’s oscillating between linux/debian and linux/mint. i’m mostly using mint to blend in with the newbies.
