    I’m thinking about those people from Autistici/Inventati in the same list of ISIS. They have been killed from a civilian perspective: no bank accounts, no loans, no cards and not even utilities will ever be given again to them.

      Bit of a tangent, but I really hope European payment solution Wero succeeds, so that MasterCard/Visa no longer dominate the European credit card market.

      I assume Americans don’t fully realise this, but as a non-American you’re often confronted by the many small ways (corporate) America enforces its cultural and political mores on the rest of us.

      It’s especially tiresome when you’re then confronted with Americans telling you to be grateful for your continued quasi-vassalage, or even that you’ve been profiting off America’s beneficence.

        I welcome Wero, but I think it doesn’t stop there. The US government says “if you work with their members then we put sanctions on you” that’s why Italian banks with an Italian circuit (Bancomat) still can’t provide these people with what they need
