I assume Americans don’t fully realise this, but as a non-American you’re often confronted by the many small ways (corporate) America enforces its cultural and political mores on the rest of us.

USA smuggles weapons all over the globe, they have been doing this since the Brown Bess rifle. Odds are very good they will be somewhere in any supply chain.
Other countries have their own version of the CIA (much smaller, of course). They may very well provide weapons and money, often, that was provided to them by other sources (usually the CIA for some reason, yes, the CIA arms many groups that are enemies of the USA).
In the CIA’s defence, they also sell weapons simply to make money, no strings attached.
Obviously, they then use that money to avoid congressional and democratic oversight and perpetuate evil.
