It would appear so. Lots of nonbinary people use traditional pronouns.

I’ve been rolling this concept around in My head of the cis-agender and the trans-agender people. Because I’ve met a lot of cis people who don’t have an internal attachment to their gender. I asked them “If you woke up tomorrow with a body of the opposite sex, and everyone remembered you as always having that body, but you still remembered your current body, what would you do?” And they say they’d just get used to it. They identify and present as cis for external benefits, not internal ones. To fit in, or to make romance easier, or just out of habit. They don’t really care. I ask permission to they/them them and they say sure, it doesn’t matter.

But I’ve also met people who have a personal revulsion to the idea of presenting with a gender, or being seen to have a gender. And people who present more androgynously because they’re politically opposed to how much our society is gendered. People for whom it really does matter.

So I think we need to build a linguistic distinction between these two groups. And the best idea I have for the name is, cis-agender and trans-agender.

Don’t plan for the last assassination. Plan for the next one!

Humans plant trees they will never feel the shade of, because they’re political. Humans get to have a legacy. Humans get to live forever in the memories of those who succeed them. Humans get to enjoy community. Humans get to build something bigger than themselves.

That’s what politics is. Politics are a gift. Politics are what separates person from beast. Politics are the joy of being human.

Humans are the most political species. Politics is group decision making, and humans have the best group decision making processes. They even have organised structures for passing on knowledge and wisdom, which have ensured that nearly every generation of humans are smarter than the previous.

You know who has just as much raw intelligence as humans, but no politics? Octopuses. Fucking apolitical savages. They’re capable of learning so much, I saw a youtube video where an octopus learned to play the piano. And by now he’s probably dead, and his knowledge lost. Octopuses aren’t political enough to teach each other. That’s why they’ll never get as much done as humans.

Billionaires are trying to convince you that you don’t like politics, so you’ll be as easy to control as the apolitical animals are. Do you want to be used for labour value by a smarter animal, like oxen are? If you aspire to apoliticism, you will be!

I think the attitude of “oh, if you’re a maladjusted man, you need to go get a girlfriend” is a toxic social expectation and one of the major causes of the male loneliness epidemic.

There are a lot of sad men in the world who have very solvable emotional problems. But instead of working on self improvement (exercise, mindfulness, therapy, getting friends, starting a hobby), they go looking for a girlfriend to fix them. The girls say “this isn’t the 1950s, buckaroo, I don’t have to be your mummy anymore”, and reject the men. Then the men become incels and go online looking for male validation. They find the manosphere, and people like Tate say “exercise, eat good, practice grindfulness, and hate women”. And since some of that advice is good, the men feel better and follow the bad parts too, like hating women. Which just makes them more bitter and lonelier people.

So, uhhhh, cultist who wants a demon to kill your rival. You should go for a walk, have a nutritious meal, do something that makes you happy, think about your place in the universe, and make a new friend. You don’t need a girlfriend to practice healthy living, and you certainly don’t need to hate women to practice healthy living.
